Even though many other researches have been concentrated on the energy-aware task scheduling, the clear examples or implementations of the task scheduling methods have not presented. In the future home or office systems, the wireless and low power mobile devices could be powered by battery systems. Several military and medical devices would harvest energy from nature phenomenon. In this case, the energy-aware task scheduling can be applied considering the energy consumption characteristics of the battery-based and energy-harvesting devices.

In addition, energy and battery models and state-of-charge estimation are interesting topics. The precise energy model and information can be helpful to expect the lifetime of mobile and battery-powered system. Therefore, the hardware implementation of the energy and battery models can be focused as one of the on-going research topics.
